Got my latest tattoo a few months ago. I love it because it looks old school like my dad's did. I lost my mom when I was 19 to Cancer. I lost my dad when I was 32 and pregnant with my son. It meant a lot to me to get this tat done. TFL Journaling reads: I'd been thinking of getting memorial tattoos for my Mom & Dad. I just couldn't decide on what to get. I was looking through a catalog and saw a stamp of a hula girl. I immediately knew that was it. My dad was stationed in Honolulu, HA in the Army. He had 2 hula girl tattoos done while there. So, the hula girl meant something to me. I decided that would be the one I got. So, to include my mom, I told the tattoo artist to use purple flowers for my mom's name (Violet) & it was her fav color. Then he gave her auburn hair like my mom. I've nicknamed her Lu Lu for Honolulu. She's like a part of the family now."
