Daniel and Eric were best friends from the very beginning.
They were inseparable-even when Eric moved to Atlanta for his father’s job.
Eric started coming to my church in Atlanta and we immediately became
friends. Daniel came to visit Eric and Eric’s first thought was to call me to hang out.
Our houseis a “hang-out” house for the youth group. So they came over to waste some
time and I walked in to say hi to Eric. When Eric stepped aside to introduce me to Daniel, something
inside me clicked. I knew I was destined to meet Daniel- it was literally love at first sight. Sparks were
flying back and forth between us all weekend, but he got really shy the last day and barely talked to me..
He called Eric and got my number and called me the next week. It was obviously a little awkward at first, but we
began talking 2-3 hours a night just trying to find out more about each other. We both realized how much we liked
each other so I invited him to come on our church’s beach retreat. While there, it was obvious how much we liked each
other. We were always together, holding hands, hugging, and talking constantly. By the end of the trip we were
inseparable. I knew he would be going home soon and I probably wouldn’t see him for a while. WE were at a
water park and as we were leaving, Daniel pulled me aside. He told me how much he liked me and he knew that we
wouldn’t see each other much until we both started college in the fall. (I was already attending Southeastern
University and he was already planning to go there). I told him I felt the same and it has been an amazing, loving
relationship ever since. He is the most amazing man and I could not have asked for someone better than him!
