HI! Just a quick one for his high school album. PP is KI, cardstock is Bazzill.

Journaling reads:

There have been so many moments watching you grow from a newborn to a toddler, from a toddler to a child, from a child to a teen and from a teen to the young man who now stands before me declaring his independence. Moments that I never want to forget. There have been ups and downs, arguments and laughter, tears of joy and of sadness and frustration. There is nothing I want to forget. It is all of these moments that have brought you and I to where we are today.

As I sit at every football game this year I am reminded of how fast the time has gone and how very little moments we have left together on a daily basis. You will graduate this June. We have planned to move to NH and you have chosen to stay here and attend college. My days with you are numbered and I am so afraid of missing moments with you! I don’t want to miss one game, one smile, one anything. I want to be there for all of it and to take it all in.

Being your mom is one of the most rewarding things in my life. A lot hasn’t been easy for the two of us. We are both very strong willed, stubborn people who want things our own way and we don’t take well to it when it doesn’t go that way. Compromise was always out of the question for us. Somewhere in the recent past we have learned to compromise and it has made our relationship stronger.

I feel extremely close to you now. I love this feeling. A favorite moment came just three days ago. We thought you had broken your thumb at football and we were on our way to the hospital. We talked non-stop about school, your friends, the Red Sox and about your math course. I loved every moment of it. There was no tension, no fighting over radio stations. Just you and l and great conversations. It was the moment when I realized we had come full circle and I didn’t want it to end.

Learning to let you go is the hardest thing I have ever done.I don't want to miss a moment in your life. I have tried hard in the past seventeen years to be there for it all. I am really starting to see the man that you are going to be and it is a beautiful sight. You are a wonderful person and I am so very proud of you. We will still have great moments together, just not as often.

You are one of the greatest joys of my life. I look forward to many more special moments with you and I hope you do too.
I will love you always,

TFL!
