When it comes to shapes there are so many options to incorporate them into a scrapbook page. If you have a silhouette cameo, dies or any other machine to help you cut images it is so easy but there are so many other possibilities. The two peas store is full for shaped embellishments and fun products that are have a die cut look. For my layout I interpreted the SHAPE UP YOUR SCRAPBOOKING theme using different design elements. 1. Silhouette cuts. I used several cut files from the twopeas store to create some cuts: the geotags and the LOVE THIS polaroid shape. 2. Vellum speech bubble (available in the store). If you don't have a die cut machine there are so many ready made elements available for purchase! 3. Die cut frames. These are really popping up everywhere and a great way to create a die cut look without a machine (frames: Studio Calico). 4. Heart shaped punch. The easiest way to create a shape is by using a punch. Even though I have a cameo I still use my punched ALL THE TIME! How I created the layout: 1. I started by using some Mr Huey's and Heidi Swapp ColorShine mists and added a few brush strokes to the background paper. I really like add color to a background paper using paint or mists! 2. Once the mist was dry I created the cluster with my photo, the title and all the embellishments. 3. To draw more attention to the photo I created a visual triangle with the geotags. 4. As a finishing touch I used one of Amy Tangerine's stitching templates and stitched another geotag on to the layout. Have fun creating with shapes.
