2012 was a fabulous year for my family. Nothing special but we had lovely moment together and I decided to make a layout to reflect these moments and my wish to have similar ones in 2013.I started by making a collage of my favourite instagram photos using Picasa. I cut the photo collage in two and placed them as the centre part of the 2page layout. I built my page up around the photos. On the right I used a large strip of orange polka-dot patterned paper which I placed vertically. I used that same paper on the left hand side but made it less dominant. I added a doily and added layers of patterned papers to either sides of the photos. When using layers I love mirroring the elements. This helps the eye flow over the layout and creates a sense of movement. To create some interest I added little embellishments onto the photos themselves: Basicgrey tape strips (or washi could work too), flair button, Ready Set Go embellishment, chipboard die cuts, …). It is always fun to have little details on a layout. I love looking and finding new fun little elements. At the end I added my LONG title and used a mix of thickers, letter stickers and letter stamps. They are so many stamps and thickers to choose from in the shop. I have added a few to the material list! Why not create your own retrospective layout of 2012. I'd love to see your favourite or memorable moments.
