Okay, I fnally got an opportunity to scrap again.
This lo is of my ds first day of life.
Snce his theme is literature, I based it entirely on the children's book "On the Day You Were Born," by Debra Frasier. The background image and quote are directly from the book.
It didn't turn out quite as I had envisioned, but I'm just happy to have a page done after so long a time of not scrapping.

Quote from book reads:
On the day you were born the Earth turned, the Moon pulled, the Sun flared, and, then, with a push, you slipped out of the dark quiet where suddenly you could hear a circle of people singing with voices familiar and clear.
“Welcome to the spinning world,” the people sang, as they washed your new, tiny hands.
“Welcome to the green Earth,” the people sang, as they wrapped your wet, slippery body.
And as they held you close they whispered into your open, curving ear,
“We are so glad you’ve come!” - Debra Frasier

Materials used:
MM letters, and EK Success Rub-on Letters

Sorry for the goofy scan. We don't have our scanner yet, so I took the pic digitally, and got a bit of a shadow on the journaling :(
Thanks for looking :)
