Playing catch up with some old childhood challenges. This one is for #30 - Spring Memories. Journalling reads: I always loved the annual flower show at 404. It was only a half day of school, with the afternoon devoted to the fair, where we could buy a lucky dip, or take turns throwing water balloons at the teachers who were brave enough to volunteer for this game. Inevitably it was only one or two kids who had enough skill to get the teachers really wet. We would buy homemade slices and unfilled sponge cakes from the bake stall and rummage through the treasures in the white elephant stalls. But the best part was always walking through the school hall which was filled with beautiful flowers and floral arrangements. My favourite was the decorated saucer competition where a saucer would be packed with a dome of sand and flowers would be artfully arranged in it, starting with the largest flower in the centre and working out to something like tiny Sweet Williams around the outside edge. During my early years we would bring our completed saucers from home, but in later years we would decorate them during the school day. Our family had a win in one of my last years, with Ray's roses earning one of the top three awards for the Best Flower in Show.

unknown pp (but literally the very bottom sheet in my stash, so very happy to have used it!), BG alpha stickers, MM rhinestone brads and fabric tag, Urban Lily rubon, Miss Elizabeth's paper tape, Kaiser, Prima, Bella and unknown flowers, misc ribbon. TFL!
