This is the second layout I did for a circle journal at another swap, the theme of which was "Memorable Moments".
I put a journaling box behind my photo that can easily be pulled out of the top of the journal.
The journaling reads, on the front:
"How can I pick just one memorable moment from my life that my grandparents have been responsible for when they have been one of the most memorable parts of my life...always there for me, always making me feel unconditionally loved? Growing up with just one parent wasn't easy and Mom struggled, but Grandpa worked hard and as much as he could and helped provide for us. Sometimes when Mom and I argued, I would "run away" right next door to Grandma, who understands me so well. All the memories, all the moments, have become more important to me since Grandpa was put in a nursing home."
On the reverse:
"Some memorable moments with my granparents:
-Seeing their excitement and hearing their stories when I started researching our family tree.
-Seeing tears form in Grandpa's eyes (after he was forced to retire and money got tight) when I drove him by an old car for sale and told him I was getting it for him.
-Coming home from school and helping Grandma string and snap beans and shuck corn.
-Watching Hee-Haw and Lawrence Welk together.
-My grandpa, after his first stroke, telling me he wanted me to have a silver dollar he had kept - his first earnings."
