Negative space is defined as the space around a subject. (For example, if you cut or punch out a star shape from paper, the star would be the positive space & the remaining paper would be the negative space.) In the scrapbooking world, using the negative space has become really trendy, especially after the Silhouette machine hit the crafting market. In this video, I'll show you three unique ways to incorporate this trend into your projects. We'll be using pre-made “negative space” products, creating shapes with the Silhouette, & making our own negative space products by hand. We'll also be working with layers, creating fun pocket cards, & making our own hand-stitched embellishments! I hope you'll join me for this class & follow along with the step-by-step video. My challenge for you this month is to incorporate the negative space in your own projects. One lucky participant will win a $10 Two Peas gift card!*If you'd like to use the “smile” banner on your own project, you can download the free Silhouette file here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2wn5ng2e3f22wtm/Smile.studio [dropbox.com]
