My friends and I heard about the concert and wished we were old enough to go but we had to be satisfied with spending hours over the summer listening to the local radio pop channel either in my room or out in the backyard suntanning on a blanket. When I got a record player for my 13th birthday we went through a stage of playing the records over and over until we knew the words to the songs. Many of the songs have faded into memory, but once in a while I'll hear “These Eyes” or “Sweet Caroline” and find myself singing along.
