Our Flashback Friday challenge was to scrap about flowers from our childhood. Journaling reads:When I was little I remember nan often sending me up the garden to fetch granddad for lunch. He’d be busily tending his chrysanthemums or pinching out the tomatoes that he grew in his greenhouse. You can see the mums in the photos of Simon and I. They were gorgeous, gold or rust toned, almost the size of plates! He also took great pride in his rose garden which was laid out in the shape of a wheel with flat stones between the beds. At the time, I wasn’t so fond of the roses, far too prickly for me, although they did smell heavenly.
