Our Flashback Friday challenge this week was to scrap the story behind a photo - we had a lot of fun at this dinner! Journaling reads: While on holiday in England in 1973 we all went to Coombe Abbey, outside Coventry, for a medieval banquet. We were given only knives to use for implements and bibs to wear so we wouldn't make too much of a mess with our good clothese. The lord & lady led a procession into dinner and there were lute players and jugglers performing while we ate. I don't really remember what we had to eat but it looks like chicken in the photo. I do remember that we had mead (made from honey) to drink which was quite sweet.
