My friend, Daria and I were playing around one day recently with a faux patina technique. I ended up with a piece I really did not like the results of, but decided not to throw it away (I almost did) and use it in a card. I came up with these 3 cards.Using an embossing folder with white CS, I used one shade of light distress ink, two medium shades, and one dark shade, applying the inks in that order. Then embossed with Diamond Dust embossing powder of which I had a very long time and is probably not available any more. I had intended to use gold EP, however, what I had was too old and did not work well. I then pulled out the Diamond Dust of which both Daria and I really loved. I am glad I did not throw that piece away, as I was happy with the results. Supplies: Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Die Cut: Memory Box Punch: Butterfly: McGill - Dragon Fly: All Night Media Paper: Glitter paper and a shiny paper that did not photograph well. Inks: Distress Inks: Antique Linen, Shabby Shutters, Mustard Seed, and Brushed Corduroy Corner & Outline Stickers in silver
