Journaling Reads: There’s a struggle we have with Connor. We wanthim to grow up, be mature, be able to fend for himself forwhat is appropriate for his age. He’s always been advanced, and weprobably expected more of him because of that. Now that he’s almostseven, we’re really struggling with will vs. will - his vs. ours. We wanthim to advance, want him to do more on his own, make more decisionsfor himself, grow up a bit - yet, too often, we found ourselves yankinghim right back. Sometimes it’s because he did make a wrong choice andwe need to correct that. But more often, I think it’s just because nomatter how much we say we want him to be more and do more, we’reafraid of losing our little boy….he’s growing up too darned fast.<br>Holly McCaig's Schtuff kit; Gina Miller's stitches; VickieHF's arrow doodle; Traci Murphy's shadows; Lyndsay Riches hand stamped alpha; Fonts: Kingsthings printingkit and KGD Darcy (by Kimberly Geswein)
