Journaling: 'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house all three children were bouncing about. With gifts under the tree for all to see; "Can't we open just one?" was their plea! The Disney bag full of goodies from Granma was the one they had in mind. I must say it looked pretty fine. But their Daddy said with a warning, "No! that one is for in the morning."
After all were tucked in and fast asleep; we didn't hear a thing not even a peep. All woke with excitement, we had waited all year, for Christmas morning finally was here.
The bag with Mickay, Pluto and Pooh bear was the first to open for all us to share. After the cards from Granma were passed out, "Open yours, firast Daddy!" the kids began to shout. As David read his card for all us to hear, he filled with emotion and then came the tears. Tears of joy and happiness, oh- yes the were. We all couldnt believe what we had just heard. With a squel of excitiement I'm sure the neighbors could hear, "WE"RE GOING TO DISNEY" sometime this year. A phone call to Granma to express gratitude, there's not a gift left under the tree to top this one, was out attitude.
As the new year drup on, slowly it seemed "When are we going to Disney?" the children would beam. July 8th thru the 13th were the dates. We're flying in a plane, won't that be great!
The whole family was to meet this summer, except for Papaw & Aunt Wendy. Man- what a bummer! The summer arrived the anticiation was great.
