This layout was for, and inspired by the previous challenge “use your imperfect photo”, yet I did not finish it in time to post it. I almost deleted this photo, afterall it was only a test shoot. We have a small studio in a unfinished basement where I try to get those “perfect” shots of my ds. I don't have a meter so I make my dh sit in and endure as I take numerous shots and adjust the equipment. I want everything preplanned before I get my infant ds in this cold, dreary basement. My dh puts up with my commands: move to the right, to the left, look at the light, can you pretend to be interested?!! When I looked at this photo, it captures so perfectly the reality: a bored husband, a scared, apprehensive little boy…waiting for it to be over. My dh often says: “you're going to kill me with your camera” (that's why I included a body outline). All the elements on this LO were ment to recreate the grunge, unfinished look of my basement. The title with photo negatives was meant to look like a darkroom with the negatives hanging on the rope. My journaling reads “ We get so busy Creating our Ideal Reality, that the ”real“ goes unnoticed. If it wasn't for this challenge I don't think I would have noticed what I put my family through to get those ”ideal" shots.
