This is my second go at this Ombre Challenge. After I finished it the first time I had some ideas of other things I wanted to try. This time I tried two different ways of doing the background. In the first one I used strips of masking tape to block lighter areas off and give more definite strips of colour gradation. In the second one I just hand blended, sponging more layers of ink at the top and fewer as I moved towards the bottom of the paper. This gave a smoother graduation of colour.I used Distress re-inker in Weathered Wood for both of these. Then I turned the second one into the background for a winter card. The trees were stamped in black pigment ink them glittered up with sticky embossing powder and glitter. On the inside I tried to recapture the ombre feeling by adding a series of snow flakes using generation stamping to give lighter colour from the top one to the bottom one.If anyone wants more info please ask and I'll do my best to answer.
