There are still a few things left to do in my space – crown molding, new light fixture in ceiling, and refinishing the hardwood – but I wanted to go ahead and post pics because I am so happy with my space remodel. I got some great bargains on this stuff, so I have included the pricing/location info on a lot of my items.Pic 1 – View as you enter my studio space – it's an extra bedroom that measures roughly 14 X 12 feet. I painted the walls the same color as my living room – a very bright lime happy color – and painted all of the trim a glossy white.Pic 2 – An angled pic from inside the room which focuses on my main workspace. The table came from a consignment store for $25; I added a coat of paint on top. I plan on putting a piece of glass over it soon. Under it I have stored a box of pictures, a Memories tote with stickers/embellishments, and another tote with letter rubons/stickers in it. I'm using a black rolling office chair right now, but I'd like to buy the rolling white chair from Target eventually.Pic 3 – Target memo board from Shabby Chic collection hanging on the door that leads to my studio; it was a Mother's day gift from my dh. I don't know what I'm going to put on it yet.Pic 4 – Items hanging on the wall above my computer space. I already had the memo boards and the cross stitch piece is one I made my mom before she died. The tiny picture is an original piece of art (oil on canvas I think) that looks a lot like me holding my weiner dog Lowder. LOL! It was just $4.50 at a consignment store.Pic 5 – My computer/printer/scanner space – none of this is new. I'm hoping for a flat screen monitor soon; my dh snagged the only one we have for his office that is more “public” in our house than mine is. Computer table and adjacent cart are at least 5 years old if not more. :) I'm using a hand-me-down pink recliner as my chair for this because it's comfy to type from and to watch tv in as well.Pic 6 – Wall that is adjacent to the entry to the room; this pic is of my small bookshelf where I store albums, magazines/idea books, and memorabilia. The shelf on the wall was $1.50 at a consignment store; the pink/green box was $9.99 at Tuesday Morning; everything else I already owned. There is a closet next to this that I haven't included in the pics because it's just a white closet. I've stored some rubber stamps in the shelving unit. There are some misc. items in glass jars on the bottom shelf of the bookshelf. Right now I don't know what I'll do with that space.Pic 7 – Same wall adjacent to entry, this shows the tv stand I bought for $8.50 at a consignment store, my tv and dvd player that I already owned, the frame I plan to put a layout in, and a shelf/word/clock combo I bought at HL for 1/2 off each piece (shelf $5.00, create sign $5.00, clock $4.50). I already owned the topiary, giant clothespins, sign, and picture frame. I have some finished mini projects displayed here and have stored dvds and items to be altered in the cabinet sections.Pic 8 – Inside pic of the entry door with a pocket organizer hanging on it that I bought at Lowe's for $6.50. It mainly has stamp and embossing supplies and other misc. items.Pic 9 – Shelves immediately to the right of my work table where I store adhesives and tools in the top and pictures and art cleaning supplies in the bottom. These are Target cubes I've had for a few years. Wicker trash basket was $0.50 at a consignment store.Pic 10 – Another pic of the area to the right of my workspace, this shows the shelves and hooks I'm using to display my products so I will use them! I already owned the shelves and the T; the empty frames were $3.50 each at HL during a 1/2 off sale; one hook system was $4.50 at HL and the other one was $0.75 at a consignment store. The items on jumprings are sort of organized – misc. rubons are on one ring, chipboard items are on one ring, MM rubons are on another ring,K and Co. items are on another ring, Karen Foster items fill another ring. Maya Road chipboard shapes are in the metal tins on the shelves. K and Co. tags and chipboard titles and Heidi Swapp chipboard letters are on the shelves too.Pic 11 – Closer view of items in pic 10Pic 12, 13, 14 – Pics of my cube shelving from Lowe's that was $39.99 on sale. The wire baskets and white plastic baskets were $1 each at Dollar General. The wire baskets have paint in them. The white baskets have Queen and Co. items and misc. large ribbons on cards. The glass jars were $0.50 to $1.50 each at consignment stores. In them, I store my ribbons, chipboard shapes, chipboard letters, loose flowers, clear buttons, and colored buttons. My prima flowers are stored here as are three clear tackle boxes of small varied embellishments and two tin boxes of brads/eyelets/etc. The flowerpots were already mine and hold tools and MM rubons. Other glass jars hold metal words/embellishments, fabric embellishments, jumprings and other office supplies I use on my layouts, rubber alphabet stamps, misc. rubber stamps, and some small premade tags. The tin bucket has my mini Heidi Swapp iron in it. My Xyron machine also fits on one of these shelves.Pic 15, 16 – The top of my cube system where I store my 8.5 X 11 cardstock in an office supply crate I already owned. The small baker's rack was $17.50 at HL during a 1/2 off sale. The glass jars on it were $0.50 to $1.50 each at a consignment store. The hook piece on the wall was $5.00 at HL during a 1/2 off sale. I listed what was in these jars in my previous description.Pic 17 – Pic of the corner behind my workspace - I bought the baker's rack for $8.50 at a consignment store and the shelf/hook system above it was $1.00. The green wire basket and wicker piece were at HL for $1 and $3.50 respectively. I have ink pads and stamps stored in them. The pink and green holder for my punches was $7.99 at Tuesday morning. The two largest glass jars came from Target, one as a gift and the other was $6.99. Other jars were $0.50 to $1.50 at consignment stores. These jars all hold rubber stamps. The plastic jars were free and originally held biscotti from Sam's club. I have stored my foam stamps in those so that I can transport them easily and lightly to crops if I want. The other items I already owned before the remodel. In them I have some misc. large sheets of chipboard, some paper holders, and ink pads. I am thinking of using the large silver mesh basket as a loose ribbon holder, but I'm not sure about that yet.Pic 18 – This is the back wall of the room behind my work space. The cubes and desktop were from Target and are a few years old. I have items to be altered, photos, memorabilia, tools, and embossing supplies stored in the drawers and shelves. On top of this desk unit,I already owned two of the shelving/drawer systems; the one on the left is a $1.50 find from a consignment store. I have recent mags/idea books stored here as well as misc. items I haven't found a place for. The glass jar on top of this system was from a class I took with Elsie Flannigan at an event in Alabama in April. In the open space between the shelves/drawers, I have a super large basket I received as a gift that I have filled with all the mini-albums I have to complete. The number I have to do is absolutely ridiculous! The tack strip came from Staples and the fabric runner is from TJ Maxx. I have a couple of recent layouts attached to the tack strip. I already owned the curtains, but I added buttons to them as embellishments. The Mary Engelbreit box was already here and stores misc. puzzle pieces and 7 gypsies rubber bands.Pic 19 – The shelf and hook system above the desk on the back wall are consignment store finds that were $1.50 each. The shelf really only has decorative items on it. The hook system has jump rings which store card templates, card paper and envelopes, paper piecing patterns, and 7 gypsies tissue paper.Pic 20 – This is a shot of my CIS paper drawers that are placed between the baker's rack and the shelving system on the back wall. My paper is divided by manufacturer and is in alphabetical arrangment. The top drawer is A-K and the bottom drawer is L-Z, holiday, and 12 X 12 cardstock. The wire basket on top was $2.50 from a consignement store. I'm storing my templates and mats/cutting boards in this along with an album that is “in the works.” There is also a small bucket that has my tiny punches stored in it.I hope you enjoyed taking a look at my workspace!
