I made this layout last weekend for our family album because I wanted to document how important my daughter's friends are to me. My dd is the one in the red hat. (She's not shy is she?) KI cardstock, patterned paper, mod blocks, and icicle; Bazzill cardstock for matting photo and journal folder; journal folder made by using 7 gypsies file folder as a template. The journaling reads: “It may be unusual, but I love Kelsey's friends almost as much as she does. They are such a wonderful group of girls; I am thankful she has chosen them to be her friends. I know that the pre-teen years are a time of change and experimentation, but I hope Kelsey's circle of friends continues to include Shelby, Amanda, Emi (not pictured), and Emily. This picture of them at Kelsey's birthday reminds me that each of them is special and unique. Each of them teaches Kelsey something different about friendship; each of them reminds me in a slightly different way of myself at that age; each is her own person in every way. I respect their independence and sense of values and I envy the carefree way they connect with each other. This time before the drama and conflict of the teenage years is precious; I hope they continue to be part of Kelsey's life and the life of our family. Ihope their friendship will sustain and protect them against life's troubles and challenges. I also hope they continue to trust and confide in me as one of the grownups who ”get“ it.” Thanks for looking!Tiffany
