This picture was taken in 1948 of my aunt. My father died when I was six weeks old and she quit her job where she lived and came to live with my mother and help with the new baby. She got a job and helped with support as well as my support and mentor for all of my life until she died last year at the age of 95. She did this during the 40's when most women didn't work outside the home. She taught me to be independent and she taught me to be patriotic and believe in this country.
