Your journaling is so touching. It makes me think of my version of your 'cocktail set'. I still have mine too, of course mine is a cedar hope chest. Great LO.
hehehe...hiccup.. In college and never used it? Just kidding, Great LO, and great object to choose. It's amazing how we hold on to things thru the years.
Melissa, I love your choice of object and can totally understand why it means so much to you, well done with the design too, the title looks fab and I love the fun patterns and colours, Great job on the challenge, TFS :)
Journaling reads: To some this cocktail set would look fairly ordinary, but to me it is something very special. It is the first thing that I bought for my first apartment. At the time I didn’t care if I had pots or pans or even dishes, but if we had this cool cocktail set we would get by just fine! Once Jenn and I moved into our place the realities of University life set in. With classes and essays and tests to deal with there just wasn’t much time for cocktail hour. It sat on a shelf in our living room collecting dust. For some reason I just can’t seem to get rid of it. I have never used it once, but It just reminds me of that feeling that I got when I left home, a feeling of independence and the excitement of getting to live with your best friend. Though one of the glasses has broken, to me this silly cocktail set will always hold such special memories.
