Wow, I looked at him from the opposite end of the boat and thought he looked so old, teenagerish and he was only 10. This was a photo I had color copy enlarged on a legal size piece of paper at Staples. The poem on the bottom is by Ted Kooser: I put my hand on my son's head and grow suddenly older. His skull is heavy and sun-warmed, a stone from a lost field, an unopened geode crowded with beautiful crystals. Matthew 4:19 "Come, follow me, Jesus said, and I will make you fishers of men"
