So… It's been a VERY LONG time since I've created anything! I was inspired by Lori Gentile's Gratitude Book and decided I just had to try to make one. She so generously shared some of her Basic Grey fabric with me and OMG! I LOVE that stuff! I am NOT a seamstress, and barely know how to use a sewing machine, but somehow I figured it out. I will definately be buying more of Basic Grey's fabrics!I was inspired by both Lori (I totally copied her blanket stitches around the edges) and Donna Downey (learned how to make the fabric flowers from her blog, and tried to paint like her…ha!) and I'm really pleased how this came out. I did do a little stamping as well and added a ruffle on the spine. The beautiful bird was a gift from Lori, by Prima.I used a Heidi Swapp Junk album and made the cover so that it can come off. I had SO much fun making this! I think my drought is FINALLY over and can't wait to create some more. Now I need to figure out what I wanna do with the inside. My aim is to do a page per week for something I am grateful for. Thanks Lori for your inspiration!
