Here's my version of CKU-A's Lil' Davis Track, “Wish You Were Here”… My version. I loved this track, but gotta say that it must have been the most difficult of all the tracks to teach. Michelle Hill did a wonderful job coming up with a design and color scheme (brown and green) that would go with most travel themes. My album is of our trip to Maui, that we took only 3 days after we dropped off our last child to college. It is titles, “Escape…Our Getaway to Freedom” <g> As much as I loved the green and brown color scheme, I knew I had to “Hawaiianize it” by adding bursts of color. When I got home, I replaced some of the papers for a wonderful tropical looking paper from BG's Urban Couture. It was PERFECT for brightening it up! I also used Rhonna's stamps all the way through the album, which went nicely with the Crillon LD papers we used. And of course… my beloved Prima Flowers. The journaling on the first page reads, “Only 3 days after dropping Kim off at University of Oregon, John and Debi made the great escape to Maui to enjoy their new found freedom. This trip was their reward for raising two beautiful, well adjusted chidren, and now it was their time to spend ten fabulous days at the Grand Wailea in beautiful Maui.” Oh… and if you're wondering about how I got Rhonna's stamps to look so white, I stamped with white StayzOn, then traced with a Sharpie Paint pen.
