This paper bag book was soooo much fun to make! I only used 3 paper bags and 5 CD envelopes, and still managed to fit 44 pictures in it. Lots goin on here. The cover was made using silver metal tape with Fiskars Textured Plates and the Chatterbox “Embossor”. (remember that thing???) I then applied alcohol inks onto the metal. The “&” was made by typing it on the 'puter, enlarging it, printing it out, and placing on top of black cardstock, and cutting it out. I covered it with “Glossy Effects” and then TRIED to outline with a silver metallic pen, but it smeared. So…. Turning a flop into a “flopportunity”, I smeared a little more on and loved the look. All of a sudden it looked like metal!. Throughout the book, I cut slits into the paper bags, where there were no pockets. Used ribbon and Prima Flowers throughout. Attached the primas to the Tim Holtz clamps using brads. I put a strip of tape down the middles of the CD envelopes (after I covered them with paper…all Basic Grey “Sublime”) and they fan out nicely when the book is opened. This book is a Christmas Gift to celebrate What a Difference a Year Makes. TFL…
