I love this page! The little bit of blue that you added to the background adds so much! The photos are wonderful and everything really fits together so well! I love the fact that you included the story explaining how you overcame some mistakes - you'd never know from looking at the page. Being a beginner, that gives me confindence because looking at all of your pages can be very intimidating. You're awesome!
Cool layout...you are just so creative...way to go on not giving up on it when you thought it was messed up...the layout looks fantastic....cute pictures!
This lo is for the "One Hit Wonders" Lyric Challenge. The song is Motorcycle Mama by Sailcat. I've never heard the song, but it fits the lo. This lo will also be included in my dd's "All About Amber" album.
This lo was a challenge in and of itself. First, I forgot to leave room for journaling. So I did something I've never done before - I cut a slit in the main photo, inserted a sleve and whalla! Problem solved. Then, when I was just about ready to scan, I noticed a glob of something sticky in the middle of dd's hat. There were so many layers, replacing the photo was not an option. I didn't want to start over, so after I dried my tears, I printed out a new photo - cut out the hat and adheared it with dots to give it a little lift. It doesn't show so much in the photo, but I like it.
I don't normally list products used - I just grab things off the shelf or out of a drawer, and by the time I'm finished, I've forgotten who makes what. So this time I made a special effort - lets see if I got it all:
PP - DCWV Ribbon from Michaels - no name brand Basic Chip board Alpha - JoAnne Scrapbook Essentials Mini Screw Brads - Karen Foster Harley Davidson Buckle Stickers - EK Success, Jolee's Botique
Algean Blue Chalk Ink, Inkadinkado Blending Chalks, CTMH Liquid Glass
Font - After ttnorm (I installed this font without making note of its designer - if anyone out there knows, please pm me and I will give the proper credit) My deepest apologies to the designer.
I used the Pazzle to cut out the letters - wonderfully handy gadget that is!
Final note - the day we took these photos there was not a cloud in the sky. We also used sepia film, so of course no color. So through the magic of PSCS and the wonderful gradient tool, I tinted the sky blue to add just a little interest.
