I used the eyedropper over and over to repeat shades of the frame… =)Photo taken on a cold and windy day in June–we wanted to have a picnic, but sand on the menu just didn't appeal!Credits: Paper (dk. blue) by Lynn Grieveson (Designer Digitals, Ad Challenge 7/9/07) (white one's mine). Sea grasses overlay by Mary Ann Wise (DD, Beach Days). Frame by Katie Pertiet (DD, Open-Up Frames No. 2). Brads (slightly modified) by Anna Aspnes (DD, Fruehling), as well as her torn edge at the bottom (Simple Torn Edges 1). Whale graphic mine. Fonts: Carolotta (date) and Century Old Style. Journaling reads: “On this wild earth, the beach is where we meet the vastness of our watery planet. The shore stretches not inland, but toward that ever-turbulent mass, the mirror-world whose sky begins at our feet… Do you ever wonder, ever dream of the lugubrious chants of the whales, and try to parse their drawn-out, haunting laments? For whom do these morphed giants cry? What poetry is their solitary companion as they slide through the blues and greens silty with sunrays on their endless loops around the world? I sit and dream and wonder, and feel very small.”
