I just really like this little graphic I made inspired by an art nouveau wallpaper border and that hasn't made it into a stamp yet. So I started with that, and everything kind of built around it…Credits: Papers by me, with a little bit of shape overlay from Mindy Terasawa's Green Tea (Designer Digitals). Snail and birdie by me. String frames by Natali Design (Country Spring). Fonts: Goudy Old Style and CAC Shishoni Brush. Journaling reads: “the snail / he came down into my garden today / and left me secret messages / gastronomical bookmarks / pointing out tasty leaves here / – those of my white roses / the ones misted with candy pink breath – / or a succulent stem over there / – the tender dark skeleton of an unknown / tiny-flowered surprise this season – / the snail / he writes me the story of his night / the hard, uphill climbs towards / the nirvana of snapdragon; the arduous path / along tasteless and rocky dirt; / the renewed enthusiasm for dandelion / the snail / he left me those messages, and then, / in the crumbs of his flecked shell, / he also revealed / how the crow had breakfast / cracked open on a cold stone.”
