Feeling a bit melancholy and metaphorical today… but we did have a good time at the playground, where I spied this glorious little burst of color amongst the dry grasses…Credits: All Vinnie Pearce (Pixel Canvas). Background paper and decorative element from Pieces of Me kit. 2 more papers overlaid, and white fabric flower from the Naturals kit. Black paper from Woodland Boys kit. Word art, slightly modified, from the I Live For kit. Green fabric flower from She's A Doll kit. Buttons and gems from Thank You kit. Fonts: Porcelain, Selfish, and Harting. Journaling reads: “Autumn has loosed her hair. I see it tangling in the wind, playing tag with itself, chasing unchecked past flowers that once were proudly The Lady in Black or Goldilocks, but now must pretend that mange is not truly their lot. Autumn: it is time to stop hiding behind labels that beguile; it is time to breathe while there is still air, and muscles can still move. The summer was brief, but Autumn's wilderness has yet to be checked by winter's chill.”
