Awesome! I love it! I love the texture of the background paper and that the Stand looks like it's made out of pictures of Bark. And most of all I love the meaning behind it all. There are somethings in life that stand the test of time and tribulations. I am so glad that it is still standing as a witness.
I was simply admiring the pictures and thinking how cool is that. Then I started reading the journaling. Shhbaby, you've outdone yourself on this one.
You need to publish!
What an absolutely special and heartfelt lo. I got chills reading your beautiful journaling. And what a beautiful old tree! I'm so glad that it still stands and can bring joy to many more in the future! Love the lo, TFS!!!
Very powerful! Your journaling was so heartfelt and sincere. I love how you kept it on a black background with the excellent photos. Thanks for sharing with us!
This is a special Lo for me, as we traveled south last week I knew we would be dropping down on I90 an taking pictures of the Mississippi Gulf Coast for my sister a long time resident who no longer resides in Biloxi. I had often visited & this was somewhat of a stomping ground for me in college. After growing, getting married & having children we have returned on several visits just to take pictures in front of this mighty oak tree on the usm campus. I have 2 children who had never had their picture to be added to the wall with mine from college, etc. As we veered over to I90 I became instantly aware that I was not prepared for what we would start seeing. Tv has not done justice to the desolation of these communities. As we made way onto the campus my heart broke. the damage is intense from every vantage point, but there she stood the mighty friendship oak. After taking pictures of the children I just stood and stared at her pondering how she survived over all these events from decades past to now, and in that moment my spirit lept for the fortitude and strength that this tree stands for in these communities. I prayed that each individual would gain great strength in the process of rebuilding and all of what that encompasses. I prayed that each individual would find the strength to stand in adversity spread their hands out to their neighbors & to the heavens and find peace. Black pp & ribbon from shabby princess
