I easily created my own chipboard letters by using the heavy cardboard off an old pad of paper, archival mist, acrylic paint, sandpaper, & rubons. The layout was a tough one to do as I had this vision which looked very boring when this was on a green background. So I cut the whole thing off the background and used a couple of KI (?) papers to better ground it with and ad excitement. I also angled the photo grouping on the right in my new version! This is the journaling: “Taylor is very observant and the “case of the Elvis Cookie” further proves this fact. We worked together to put icing on these gingerbread cookies immediately followed by candy sprinkles. I was applying the hair. Now, I was thinking it to myself after applying hair to this one cookie, when suddenly Taylor piped up saying “Mom, this cookie has Elvis hair!” How does a 4-year-old recognize Elvis hair when she sees it? (and his songs when she hears them?) Since “Elvis” performed our wedding in Las Vegas I’ve had a fun time trying to find some silly Elvis knick knack for Mike each year on our anniversary and I always point out Elvis to Taylor when I see him in a movie or photo. And, of course, he is in our wedding photo mounted on the wall!”Tfl
