Just some silly pics I took of myself after a birthday dinner that I decided to scrap for my About Me Album. Patterned Papers & Embellishments are Creative Imaginations or Prima, or misc Jewels from Michaels, etc. Paint from MM. That's it. Please excuse the pastel green printing paper peeking through on the bottom right. That's just printing paper in my office and I needed good light to take a pic of my lo to share. Here's my journaling that's located on top and bottom of the “me” chipboard. I tried to pick a font that was a bit similar to the script on the prima paintables paper to give it a more cohesive look. Journaling ==> “Its been a long time since I've been able to look at my own reflection much less even at my own picture without wincing. The past ten or so years, I have been ”letting myself go“, as they say, in so many areas of my life due to self inflicted depression because of my inability to overcome various setbacks, many made to be a bigger deal than they should have been. Over time, my self destructive behavior has been both numbing and detrimental to my self esteem. I'm taking control of myself now slowly but surely learning to love myself by taking great care with my physical appearance (lost 16 pounds as of my birthday), finding healthier relationships and in taking pride in my work again. So here I am, the day after my 35th birthday and I feel, and I can clearly still see that I am, pretty again.”
