The scan actually made this one look better than it is! The cs is actually gray, and the title is kinda hard to read on the real thing...
Anyway, the journaling reads:
"Fifth grade. This was a year I had many new friends, but sadly they wouldn’t last since my next year of school would be the beginning of Middle school. My friends, Skye, Kelly, and Ashley W. started a jewelry making club and then sold our creations during recess. We got in trouble by the principal about this, so we agreed to sell them and then give the proceeds to the Spanish club to help them with their end of the year party.
This year was also the year of the Roller Blades. At Lowe, we had skating parties at a roller rink called Champs. I had finally gotten a pair of Roller Blades, but we weren’t allowed to use them at Champs because too many parents thought they were too dangerous!
I was really into “Oldies” music around this time too. I loved Frankie Valley and the 4 Seasons, and even got to see the lead singer in concert.
I was in the Variety Show this year, although, for the life of me I don’t remember what I did (it was either a thing with my sister and some friends, or me singing a Simpsons song.).
Fifth grade was a busy year, and by the end of it I was ready for Westport Middle School."
