Something about working with digital stuff makes me want to break out the pop-dots. I always like to add something that sticks up from the page.
Remember those old lettering templates we used to all have to have? I broke out one of my old sets for this page. I think it was from EK Success. You could definitely get the same effect using a diecut machine, or cutting out a font, but I like doing “handmade” stuff when I'm working with digital. It's fun to mix up the high and low tech. :)
Supplies:
<a href="http://twopeasinabucket.kaboose.com/shop.asp?derMars=12BFB9 [twopeasinabucket.kaboose.com]“> Anne Langpap's Overjoyed paper kit . (I didn't end up using the matching embellishment kit, but it is linked up at the bottom of the page)
Pebbles Magnetic Clips (I realized after I finished this page that these particular ones are out of stock. But, I linked up some of the in stock ones on this seed because they are soooo stinkin' cute. And on sale. Bonus. )
Pop-up Glue Dots (or other dimensional adhesive of choice
7 Gypsies Classic Reef Label Stickers (I linked up other colors too)
Black & White Cardstock
Slick Writer
Directions
1. Open ”Brown Rainbow paper“ from the Overjoyed paper pack. Resize to 8x8” (Image->Resize).
2. Open photo you want to use. Crop to 8" wide, allowing the height to adjust accordingly. Drag the photo onto the paper canvas. Print.
3. You need to print another copy of the rainbow strip on the bottom of the paper so you can cut out your letters from it. You can just print the page again, or crop and print just the rainbow on a piece of smaller paper. If you crop, make sure that the dimensions of the stripes stay the same.
4. Using a letter template that you unearth from deep, deep in your stash of supplies, trace your title onto the second sheet of rainbow paper. The nice thing about rainbows is that they provide the lines so you can keep your letters straight.
5. Cut the letters out and attach to layout using pop-up glue dots/pop-dots/whatever you use to make things stick up.
6. Arrange mini layout on black background cardstock. Place magnetic clips around the edges.
7. Journal on label stickers and attach.
