Things I've learned from this challenge: 1. When colouring pom pom balls, do NOT saturate them with ink. They will not dry. Thy turn into miniature sponges. 2. There aren't many acid free glues that will tame an unweildy pipe cleaner 3. Eventually, it will all come together
Items are:
1. Brown Fibre - left side of page 2. Charm - Used as an arrow attached to brown fibre 3. Pom Pom balls - inked black, shredded to bits with scissors, and put in the bottom of the vellum envelope to aid with the 'dotty' look. 4. Feathers - sticking out from behind the bag to give it a softer look 5. Bag - painted black, covered in vellum, on envelope 6. Pipe cleaner - Around edge of heart 7. Wooden heart - covered in black paper and doodled upon 8. Black brads - in four corners of pics 9. Red brads - on top and bottom of brown fibre 10. Clear squares - big in lower right hand corner, small in upper right hand corner 11. Mirrored squares - upper right hand corner, one on top of the other 12. Gingham fabric - under heart 13. White stretchy plastic stuff - used to 'sew' on gingham fabric
I made the envelope myself out of vellum and stippled it with black paint. The journaling inside says:
It was an event. A birthday for a doll. Archer, I think. And oh, what an event it was. You played it out right down to the authentic cake that you baked together with mummy. I hope you always do these things together.
