This is my 2 page CJ Entry for Travel Theme. I used the lyrics to John Lennon's song, in my life about the memories I've created and remembered with family and friends to illustrate my many memories of my travels. Here I've included 2 pictures from my elephant ride in the jungle in Thailand in 1998. Behind the picture on the bottom page is hidden journalling on tags that have all my priceless realizations/memories of all the different places I've visited:* Cancun Mexico…seeing that postcard-esque turquoise water and white sand.* Oahu & Maui Hawaii…snorkeling on Christmas Day and walking along the shoreline with holiday lights sparkling in the palm trees at night…*Tuk tuks, swater markets & Elephant rides in the jungle in Bangkok, Thailand* Hopping on and off the local buses amongst the locals in Kuala Lumpur all by myself* Full body massage under a thatched umbrella on the serene beaches of Penang, Malaysia* To see the actual homes/buildings, streets, schools in Yangoon, Myanmar where my parents were born and raised* Seeing my mother for the first time as a person, with real fears about flying, rather than as the all knowing parental unit* Baja Mexico – kayaking in the open sea and swimming with dolphins* Exploring the metros and boulevards of Paris and catching the first glimpse of the lit * Chamonix, France – skiing the french alps and then being “rescued” by helicopter from the infamous 15 mile long trail Vallee Blanche* Cruising down the seaside autoban (highway) along the Italian and French Riveria at sunset with the love of my life…..and wishing so hard that we were in a topless convertible so I could totally be in the MOMENT!* Spur of the moment road trip with my friends to Puerto Nuevo, Mexico on 4th of July just to have some cold Coronas, margaritas and a sumptuous lobster meal! Not to mention my first Cuban cigar.Materials List:Everything came from my stash except for one new sheet of Basic Grey. Turquoise paper is Paper Adventures Musturd paper with vintage palm trees is NRN Distressed bamboo paper is Basic Grey Vagabond. Handmade green paper is from my rubber stamp store. Cardstock is actual office manilla file folder. Fonts and stamps used are Mavinci Playful Heart. Brads are Karen Foster and MM. Chipboard Alpha is Lil Davis Acrylic Paint and Heidi Rub Ons are MM. Typewriter Alpha Tiles and Silk Flowers are from Michaels. Ribbons, silk fabric remnants and Black Ric Rac are May Arts and from various fabric stores. Dymo label and red/yellow striped paper clip are from office supply store. Turtle Charm is from my stash that someone raked to me. The CJ album owner loves turtles, so I thought she would enjoy it. Square label holder with timepeice is Lil Davis HOME sticker.
