Very simple page of Graceland Journalling:I’ve wanted to go to Graceland since I moved to Arkansas. I am not an obsessed Elvis freak or anything just always thought it would be awesome to see. Darlene has been a million times so she didn’t want to go, but I hoped in a cab, and went alone. I just knew I was gonna be stuck in some tour group with a bunch of old people, listening to a tour guide that I can’t understand, so I wasn’t that excited. Boy, was I wrong. It was really neat, you get this headphone, and if you want to listen to something you just push the button, if you don’t want to hear the history of the ceiling you could skip it. It was pretty funny; there were three men from Canada behind me. I kept asking them to take my picture by things and then I had to take their picture. I loved the house! The King was defiantly a freak! HA! I loved the experience but more than anything being around the devoted fans that still visit Graceland everyday. It was so touching to see Meditation Garden, Elvis’ final resting place. Seeing grown men drop to their knees and cry made me even tear up. I’m truly glad to have experienced Graceland.…“Elvis the man died on Augues 17, 1977, but Elvis the myth continues to flourish. The king is dead; long live the king””
