Journaling on tags behind each photo reads:Ranger is the best dog ever! He is very aware of where his people are and what they are doing at all times. Routines are a huge part of his day. Every morning he runs out the front door and down the driveway to fetch the newspaper. That earns a dog biscuit. After that, Ranger and I go for a walk. We walk the same route every day and so he knows all the spots that he needs to wait for me. He is



so cute, coming back around to check and see if I’m coming or to hurry me up. If someone is home at lunchtime, he reminds you that when you’re done eating he gets two dog biscuits. Carl swears he can count but I think he just keeps asking until you stop delivering. Every day when I get home from work, Ranger races for the front door so he can go out to the mail box with me. Every evening after dinner, he dances around by





the back door so Carl will throw a bumper for him to fetch. But most importantly, after playtime, Ranger beelines it for the refrigerator because the pig ears are kept on top of it. He dances and flips and begs and gives expectant sad doggie eyes until he gets his nightly pig ear, which he wants to take outside no matter the weather. Then he trots off to the bedroom, plops down, and calls it a day.
