From our 2003 vacation. Journaling reads: We spent most of the second day of our trip back to California in the state of Missouri, with our last stop before darkness being the Lake of the Ozarks. This is the only place in Missouri or anywhere else where it rained on the trip. Don found more records here than he could possibly go through and I saw but left a saxophone for $600 that seemed to be in good shape. This lake reminded us somewhat of Big Bear Lake, minus the drought problems, and minus the congestion. All of Lake of the Ozarks is like Fawnskin. We can certainly see why it is a popular vacation destination for people in Middle America.Note about the journaling for those who have not visited the other lake mentioned: Fawnskin is one of three towns on the shore of Big Bear Lake, CA. It's tiny, but the two towns on the opposite side have a combined population of about 20,000.
