I don't know why this one didn't photograph straight, maybe I'll try scanning it later. This is me on my DH's base. We're having a party to make ourselves feel better about some reorganization of units and to say goodbye to his commanding officer, who was leaving the unit due to this reorganization.Journaling is more about my whole experience as a military wife. It reads “I am an Air Guard Wife. I experience with my husband the frustrations and the joys of military life. One thing I have not experienced is a deployment. Don has not left with the military for more than seven weeks (to attend NCO Academy) and his two other trips away were of one week's duration. But I have heard stories of others' deployments and I have celebrated their returns, their promotions and their retirerments. Since Don joined services, there have been many reasons to party, not all of them celebratory. This picture was taken at the last party before Services merged with Support.”
