I came across a technique of stamping with Gesso. It was so easy and fun to do. Here's 3 cards I made using the technique.Card 1- coated a Hero Arts background stamp with gesso and stamped on to white cardstock. Once the gesso was dry, I sponged on distress inks. Using a baby wipe that was slightly dry, I wiped the ink off the stamped area. The bird is a canvas sticker from Little Yellow Bicycle that I colored with markers. Added my sentiment and some dash lines to the cardbase.Card 2- Covered my flower(rubber stampede) with gesso and stamped onto watercolor paper. Once dry, I colored over the image with distress stains and brilliance pigment ink. Wiped image with a baby wipe and mounted onto kraft cardstock. I rubbed ink around the edge of the card and using a small floral stamp lightly covered in gesso, I stamped a background onto the cardbase.Card 3- It's done pretty much the same as the first card except I used chalk inks from versamagic in night sky on the backgroun. I wiped the excess ink off with a baby wipe and went around the edge of the paper with the inkpad. Added another one of those canvas stickers, this one was colored with colored pencils and crayons. Added a sentiment and mounted it all together on cardstock. TFL :-)
