I was so excited with both of Wilna's videos this week and this month's moodboard that I adapted the inspiration to use my rubber stamping skills and create a mini journal. I used a mini-covered blank book to create my journal. I covered the Maya Road's chipboard frame with glue n seal and attach tissue paper stamped with sheet music. The book's front is covered with kraft paper stamped with nature images in blue archival ink. I tore apart the images to add texture and covered all with gesso. The base was painted with Golden's silver iridescent paint. Rubbed in Inka Gold rose color to accentuate the texture. Covered all with glossy matte medium. And added fine sparkle with Stickles fine dry crystal glitter. The frame with completed with silver iridescent paint and multi-medium. The background for the bird Inkadinkado stamp image was created with Distress weathered wood ink. It was stamped with archival gray ink and body with distress inks. Eyes are finished with Range's enamel accents.Inside cover-Painted with Golden's silver paint. Attached the negative of a diecut snowflake. Birch bark is from my wood pile. Reindeer and tree stamped on a watercolor background.Back inside cover-moose stamped on watercolor background. The die cut snowflake from the front inside.Backcover-not the black color I first thought…very purple I made a new color base with silver and blue colors used earlier. Thanks 2 Peas for the January moodboard and Wilna for the fun inspiration to use the winter colors.
