I guess some of Mom's rules stay with us nearly a lifetime. One of those rules is “do not color on the walls.” I am having a major remodel done to my house this summer. The other day Builder Bob began drawing on the wall with his sharpie pen to show me where the new window would fit over the sink. With a few quick lines he drew in the counter, backsplash, recepticals and window. Don't tell anyone but I was more fascinated with the thought of drawing on than thoughts of the new kitchen window. He offered me a pen but I replied “oh no I have a whole container of colored sharpies and stamps too”! That was more than enough inspiration to get me started.I love new techniques and often just jump in with both hands…one grabbing the stamp and the other with the ink. One thing about new techniques is that sometimes one needs to do some experimenting to perfect the results. I'm afraid that is a difficult on walls. I did start out by coloring my stamp with my tombow markers which produced a light colored image. I ended up doodling over top of the stamped image with the Sharpies.
