As part of the Two Peas event : Stamping A-Z [twopeasinabucket.com], I am showcasing the letter ‘S’, using a fun technique with Sweet Bella [twopeasinabucket.com] tape.Have you tried these beautiful tapes? The are SO easy to use, and a fun, funky colorful addition to any page. Tapes can be used many ways on a page or card…functional-to hold something onto the page or as a purely decorative element.I love that you have a choice between beautiful solids [twopeasinabucket.com]{this was the first set I bought} and fun funky patterns [twopeasinabucket.com]-polka dots, stripes and more! It's almost like choosing between cardstock and patterned paper—a choice I never want to be forced to make ;)For this page, I wanted to see if I could think of a new way to use the tapes. I tore several thin strips of coordinating tape and layered them. Then I used Staz On [twopeasinabucket.com] ink and stamped the letters [twopeasinabucket.com] for my title on the tape. I cut around the letters and had a fun unique title for my page!To create this project:1.Using a mask on my background paper, I painted dots in oranges and yellows using acrylic paints and spray inks.2. For the large white photo mat, I spritzed some blue ink on the background, then dripped some pink and Studio Calico Shine [twopeasinabucket.com] {LOVE}. When dry, I ran my paper through the printer to create my journaling. I adhered the tape letters (made as described above).3. Using my sewing machine, I stitched through the title and the wonky heart (an old Heidi Swapp acrylic which I had painted!).4. I tucked lots of scraps along the right side of the photo mat, added a few more pieces of tape to tie the layout together, then stitched again over all those bits of scraps. Thanks for looking!! :)
