Infographics is a popular way of conveying information in a quick and easy to understand format. Google the term or look it up on Pinterest and you'll many cool designs. The thing that I love best about this ‘tool’, is that it gives a snapshot of the facts. Translating it into a scrapbook page gives you the power of visual storytelling, which is what it's all about!I started the page with the card pack from the We R Family line by Lily Been Design. Some of the cards are for storytelling, some for decorating and a place the title/date. I love the color palette, graphic designs and fonts. I thought it went well with the infographic theme. The wood and denim background add texture and a neutral backdrop for the many layers. In order to convey the story or data of my family I used a timeline, dating from 1989 (when I met my husband) through today. This captures the major highlights of our lives. I also used wooden shapes by Studio Calico to represent some of our vacations and the number of babies born into our family in the past decade. The last symbol is the large #29 which is part of our address. Every last detail adds personalization and tells the story of our family today. A snapshot of the Damiano's in 2014 - quick, easy and interesting to look at.
