Ah the December Daily album. Something I attempted once in the past and never finished. I should've known since I have a “daily commitment” phobia for projects. It's the reason I can't do Project Life either. But I love the concept and Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. I wanted to create a project that captured the magic of the Season without becoming a chore.I created this mini as a peek into Christmases past, present and future. In the beginning of the book I will add photos of me + DH with a description of how we celebrated the holidays and some of our favorite memories. I'll also add some photos and stories from our son's first two Christmases and journal about our experiences being parents for the first time during the holidays. The next section I will fill with my son's Christmas years ages 1-7. I'll journal family traditions, favorite gifts, the magic of having a kid who believes and our perspective as parents.I'm going to wait a few years to fill in the last section. Hopefully, coming back to the project when my son is in his tween years. While all of the family traditions will stay the same, there'll be so many changes to the way we experience the holiday with a teen and beyond. And if I'm very lucky, one day I will fill the last page with a shot of us with our grandchildren. This is a book that will grow with us. And something that I can definitely keep up with!HOW TO: I started the base with a Studio Calico album. I love that the cover was basically done for me and it will hold up through the years. I added some flair for a little bit of dimension. The title page is decorated with glitter foam Thickers, gold rubons and embellishments from Santa's List by Teresa Collins. Actually most of the book was created with this line. The divided page protectors were filled with patterned paper, sequins and lots of journaling spots. I also added a few pockets to add memorabilia along the way. While all of the pockets have been filled here with patterned paper, I will shift those around and replace them with photos through the years.
