<p>I am a sucker for cute stamps. Sometimes I buy them just because they're cute—having no idea how I am going to actually use them! For this project, I decided to pick some of my faves and create this little piece of art for my daughter's room. It was a blast to go through ALL of my stamp sets and use lots of those adorable little images.</p><p><u>Here's what I did:</u></p><p>1. On smooth white cardstock, stamp images using black ink. When dry, color in images with colored pencil. Cut out each little image. Set aside in a safe place.</p><p>2. Cut 12 squares (1.5  x 1.5 inches) from white cardstock - I used Bazzill Dotted Swiss to add a bit of texture. Arrange white squares on 12x12 patterned paper background. I chose a pink wood-grain paper. I wanted color, but not too much–The goal was to have my stamps to stand out and be the center of attention, not my background paper. Adhere the white squares to the background, then stitch around each square on the machine using pink thread. This took a bit of time, but I was alone in the house (this hardly ever happens!) and it was kind of therapeutic for me. I added stitching along the outer edge of my background too, adding a few square sequins as I stitched -influenced heavily by the fab Cathy Blackstone!</p><p>3. Okay, the background is complete and now it's time to add the stamped and colored images.
