&lt;p&gt;In color theory, two colors are called &lt;i&gt;complementary&lt;/i&gt; if, when mixed in the proper proportion, they produce a neutral color (grey, white, or black).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I tell my students, &amp;quot;They live across the street from one another on the color wheel.&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Two such colors are red and green. For this page, I used a background of neutral colors, then added a couple little dabs of the complementary colors red and green. I pulled out my teeny circle alpha stamps–I forgot how much I love these little stamps!
