Felt...such a crafty medium. The amount of felt scrapbook products out right now is amazing! I've put together a few ideas for how you can use these little cozy embellishments both on your pages-- and off of them. Maybe you'll even see them used in a way you hadn't thought of! Go dig out your felt embellishments and have fun! Embellish a felt photo albumUse felt flowers and dots to embellish the cover of a little 4x4 album by K I Memories (they come in a variety of sizes and colors). Arrange flowers on the cover, adhere into place. Add a few buttons as well.**page 1 and 2Stitch little felt flowers to a braceletWho doesn't have a stash of these popular rubber bracelets? Embellish the bracelet by adding small flowers and buttons using embroidery floss. A regular old sewing needle goes through the rubber quite easily. **page 3 and 4Use snipped up leftovers to create a new accentThis is really fun and a great way to use up leftover felt embellishments! I cut up felt embellishments that I had too many of-- an odd letter, a shape I knew I'd never use, etc. into little pieces. then I cut a large photo corner out of tagboard. I put Mod Podge on the photo corner and arranged the little pieces of felt to create a little mosaic. You could cover any chipboard shape, an initial, do a border on your page, frame a photo this way...the possibilities are endless and you're using up something you otherwise might not. **page 5 and 6Use flowers to enhance a maskFor this page, I used a Heidi Swapp mask and swiped acrylic paint over top. I peeled it up and let dry. I then added felt flowers to enhance the mask. **page 7Use felt to decorate a sweet onesie for your babeThese onesies were created using felt embellishments. The ice cream cone uses felt cut from sheets bought at the local craft store, then a little flower embellishment was stitched on top. The line of hearts and buttons uses premade hearts from American Crafts, sewn on with a simple stitch. I am so excited to create a whole wardrobe of these for Campbell! I have yet to wash it--I am planning to put it in a lingerie bag-cold water-drip dry.Thank you to my helper-Shelley Laming and her cutie pie daughter/model, Olivia :) And a huge thanks to Margie for the amazing shots of the girls :)
