Don’t let these instructions intimidate you. There seem to be a lot of steps, but this is really very easy!1. Cut 6 squares of paper. The larger the squares, the easier it is to work with.2. Fold each square in half diagonally, forming a triangle.3. Cut as shown in diagram 1 (sorry about that scan - I had to put printed paper behind it so the scanner would pick it up). Cuts should be evenly spaced, but spacing will depend on the size of your squares. I have been known to “eyeball” the cuts.4. Open all your cut triangles back out into a square.5. Bring the middle cut points (see diagram2) together and secure. I just used staples. If your squares are smaller, you will need to use something else (I’m thinkin’ glue dots).NOTE: I just noticed that in diagram 2 the square is turned 1/4 turn. Sorry, don't let this confuse you.6. Flip the square over and repeat this process for the middle points (diagram3).7. Flip once more and do the same for the last remaining points (diagram 4)8. Now you have 6 strange looking pieces of paper, which I will refer to as “petals.” Arrange them with the center of each going the same direction, and the points all in the middle (diagram5).9. To join the petals connect them at the center point. You can do this by just gathering up the points and stapling them all together (6). When I have made these with plain printer paper, I also had to join each petal to its neighbor with a staple. I did not do that with the one in this example which is made with heavier 6x6 printed paper.10. Last, but not least….HAVE FUN!
